The Thirst To Know

With each word my curiousity sought a higher level of understanding and almost as if I was running a race and was ahead of myself watching myself taking it all in and enjoying it feeling fed and fulfilled. Wow I said to myself this is what I have been looking for but could not explain what it was or would it look like. Certainly though this felt good digesting and it was satisfying like a warm towel around your neck on a cold day, a dog that wags it tail when it sees you, welcoming and comforting.

Thoughts To Retain

The church I attended as a child always semed like a massive place that demanded my silence and best behavior. Inside the walls of this great house lived a Man that came out from behind closed doors and demanded the attention of everyone in the room. We sat frozen and afraid almost to move, sneeeze or worst of all, doze off in public. At the end of the ceremony and the singing of angels the doors opened and we were free once again to be out in the world.

The Joy of Life

I know nothing about doctors, hospitals, insurance, surgery or any of that stuff. I am either blessed or ignorant or both and yet I am thankful that I have lived this long and enjoyed my life as I have. There have been struggles with my weight but for the most part it has not been an issue, more of a choice. Never ran a marathon or swam across a lake, walked forever and ever night and day until the soles of my shoes fell off. Walking gave me time to think and an opportunity to get away from the quiet pressures of being inside four walls and under a roof.

The Good Earth

How nice it would be to wake up one morning and the Breaking News is that a worldwide agreement has been reached to end all wars. That day the guns in the streets and the bombs in the airplanes all disappear, the criminals throw down their weapons and the police go home. What a fantasy however it may be a good place to begin if you are one that dreams about clouds turning to castles. Still, there has to be something that gives us hope, that we can put our faith in and rest upon.
