Fathers in Exile: The Case of Marcus R.
Chapter 23: The Trial Sibling vs Sibling
"I was the only one their, no family showed up." Marcus R.
The day of the Pre-trial I walked off the elevator into a large open waiting area outside all of the courtrooms. It was 8am and We must have had the only trial that morning as there were no other people in the waiting area other than The Plantiffs. They were at the very far end in a corner alone and Marcus R. knew this would be His last chance to look this evil and demonic entity in the eye face to face. He could see her shrinking down into her chair as she froze physically with His approach and this mass of hatred later to be compared to a clinical psychopath was cowering down like a first grader now. Her Spouse sat there wordless with his mouth open as if He could not breathe and He was about to be attacked or His eyes bulged almost out of His head. Yes, He deserved to be slapped but that was not a priority nor was this the time or place. They sat there across from their adversary as He cursed Her and then He got up and walked away. Those three words later resulted in a Restraining Order several more charges of harassment and making another threatening statement. About an hour later a clerk approached The Defendent and asked Him to come to a Pre Conference Hearing room where a junior attorney asked if He would accept a plea deal and agree to probation. “Hell No!, that evil person out there would not tell me where my Father was at and we might as well go to trial." Marcus R. empathically fumed. And that We did. While the trial had a long way to go it continued to be a a daily habit of The Defendent's and The Plantiff's Mother to sit on her patio and rock in her chair watching the people go by, hoping and praying that Her daughter would come see her. She was aware of what she was doing to Her Son at the orders of Her daughter, she was not senile, her daughter and Son, Marcus R. were in a legal war over their father, her ex husband. She knew as well everything that her daughter had done and no matter what there was nothing she would say to change Her mind. She would never allow anyone that would tarnish her daughters reputation even if it meant breaking the law. In Her eyes Her daughter was God, she was what she lived for and no matter how many times she was called disgusting and vile names or verbally whipped like a dog, there was nothing she would not do for her daughter. Her Son, Marcus R., had to go. He had to either go to jail or go find another family and She made that clear.
