The Great Mystery

This was truly one mystery that I had no idea what to expect from nor what the outcome of my exploration would lead to. As a child I followed whatever my parents instructed to do in so far as religion and prayer however as soon as I became an adult on my own I stopped practicing what I had grown up believing and doing. The World had an impact on me as I read more and listen to the thoughts and opinions of others. I became open minded and accepting of most ideas put before me but had not yet chosen one belief or system to deep dive into. The timing was right and many issues of the past had been resolved and now I was looking into the future and there was much I wanted to know.

Among the few that participated, that had a thirst to know more and to be involved at whatever they were assigned, there was a consortium of nations, languages, customs, religions of all kinds. Quietly they came together with a tempered enthusiasm that was just waiting to burst, to announce their arrival and unwavering commitment sight unseen. For many it was the first time they had stepped out of their zip code, for others the first time being shoulder to shoulder anf face to face with people who did not look like them or lived anywhere near them. Here, everyone had professed their pluralism, their desire for unity and promise to lay down old hostilities.

There was a lot to learn and mountains of books to read, not your every day library or Amazon books but volumes and volumes of Knowledge and Wisdom. It was new to me and it came with a new language and terminology although there was simplicity about it that it easy to follow and understand. There were others who had the options placed before them and somehow each and every one took a different pathway through this massive project before them. Each had a unique complex belief of how their life had lead them to this moment and yet there was an unspoken appreciation for anyone who made it to this little spot on Earth at this time for this reason.

The day I walked into the office was beyond anything I expected and I immediately felt comfortable enough to expose myself to these strangers I never met but felt I had known for a long time. It was a new experience for Me as I was coming out of a stressful environment into such a place of peace. Inviting and welcoming they were and without hesitation they answered all of my questions as they looked on with amazement like it was a miracle I was there at all.
